Basic Project Milestones

These are our basic project milestones. All new projects follow some form of project plan based on this list.

Content Stage, 10-12 business days

1. Client reviews the inventory of content that exists on the current web site. Client makes any removals, edits, or additions to the content, and indicate any critical components that the rewritten content is required to include.
2. Avarra Solutions creates a new "content architecture" proposal for the web site. This is similar to a site map and includes navigation, behavior, and basic layout direction for the site.
3. Client reviews, comments, and makes revision suggestions of the content architecture. The final content architecture is delivered approximately 1 day later.
4. Avarra delivers first draft of rewritten content.
5. Client reviews, comments, and makes revision suggestions of the rewritten content.

Design Stage, 5-8 business days

Design tasks can be done in parallel with content work, starting with the approval of the content architecture (step 3 above).

6. Client provides links or screenshots of web site designs they feel reflect their company's brand.
7. Avarra delivers a set of rough "wireframe" sketches to reflect the basic layout of the site content. Client will review and offer suggestions for revision.
8. Avarra delivers preliminary site design and layout that reflects the client's preferences, and to support the content architecture and wireframe layout.
9. Client and Avarra collaborate on design iterations to finalize the client design choice.

Implementation Stage, 5-8 business days

10. Avarra implements site design with final content. Client accesses staging site for final review and change requests.
11. Client uses staging site to review and approve final site.
12. Avarra updates final site to production server and launches the live site.
